So what's going on at BOMB? Well, a lot. The second episode of Outer Rim Radio will be done soon and there are some other projects that will be ready for you all to enjoy soon as well. Springboard has taken a little hiatus at the moment as we're working on stuff while also having everyday life to take care off.
But don't worry, BOMB will bring you good stuff in due time.
Joe brings the legend of Tamamo-no-Mae, the nine-tailed kitsune whose spirit was trapped in the "killing stone", to the table.
We do our usual derailment and have a fun time doing it, we hope you feel the same.
Dave puts the topic on Elden Ring and its "bad" game design according to the large publishers. We discuss elements of what this "bad" design is and reason if it has merit.
Joe is back and he brings the topic of the "NPC", or as Joe puts it, people with out a soul to the table. As a foundation he uses the ideas of Gnosticism, a mystical system of belief emerging out of jewish and early christian sects in the 1st century AD, but possibly being older.
Join us for a discussion on people without inner monologue, human automatons and ancient mysticism.
Episode 2 of our audio drama is now available to enjoy on YouTube. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we did making it.
With the first episode of ORR launched, the work on ep2 is in full swing. I can only hope that people will find this project entertaining and keep coming back for more. Without saying too much, the aim for the first couple of episodes is to introduce the world in a way that doesn't feel like a exposition dump. At the moment, ep 1 has 73 views, which for me is amazing.
Here's to a great launch and to more from the world of the outer rim!
